Best glue for maple?

Been having some problems with maple and epoxy, doesn't see to hold as well, not sure if it's related to
tanic acid or not. I know oak has that but not sure if maple does.

Would a Gorilla type glue be better for maple?

What are you trying to glue maple to maple or maple to metal. I've been making cabinets and doing woodwork for over twenty years, and gorilla glue does'nt seem to hold up as long as others.

I want to glue maple to brass.
I had problems with the epoxy separating on the edges after I pinned the scales on.

What do you mean when you say the epoxy is separating?
What brand of epoxy did you use?
How did you prepare each surface?

I think it was from the tannic acid in the maple. I am going to try again with maple I home brew stabilized with minwax wood hardener and polyurethane/acetone in a mason jar pressure vessel.
The maple was probably not fully dried as well and this caused some curling on the edges.
