I'd like to get a basic 110, unused in box, with no blemishes, from the 1980s or 70s, possibly a finger grooved one. I'm not really a collector, and I may use it a little.... I mostly just prefer older items over new, as the quality seems better. What would be a good price for one on the forum or on ebay? Any ideas? Thx,
JP
Whats a good price for an un-used older 110?

Un-used in box from the 70's are getting harder to find, and can come close to or even pass the $100 mark. 80's would be cheaper and easier to find. Finger grooves were not available in the 70's (?). As far as being better, i agree due to the 440c used in the older BUCKs. But BUCKs being what they are, even the new ones kick butt
.
An 80's , NIB, would cost around $45 to $65 , really depends on the many variables ( dots, sheath low or high rider, etc...) and how much some one else wants it on ebay. Let me know if i can help you out, i may be able to hook you up.

I must say I have been impressed with the new Bucks I seen.
All their heat treating, for the stuff made in Idaho, is done by Paul Bos, and there just ain't nobody better at heat treating stainless steel than Paul Bos, IMHO.
