Butterfly Knife-The Grandaddy of Them All-Billings & Spencer

This might be better placed in "Knife Lore" but I thought it might get more views in the General section initially. This Billings & Spencer recently passed through my hands on its way to a client/friend of mine. It was the first American butterfly knife, patented in 1908. Levine's Guide 3rd ed. makes mention of them on page 287 and shows the patent drawing. It is only the fourth one I've seen in nearly 20 years of knifing. Eric
