question about my Western S-531 Elk Blade Knife

Post by rickhmartina »

I am looking into selling my knife collection and I have been having trouble finding a good way to find out their value. I did a goole search on this knife (Western S-531 W/ Elk on Blade) and came up with the following link that seems to be a listing of knives that sold at some auction. This particular knife is listed as $5,500 (Simply described as Western S-531 Elk). So, is this crazy or is this really a valuable knife. What is a realistic price of this. Also, is there a market for collector knives like this on ebay? I have a good collection of Western, Schrade, Case, C.I, Gerber, and more. If any of this might interest you, reply or email me at [email protected]. Would negotiate good price for selling multiple items.

I think that was probably a typo, as all the other similar models with animal etching went for around $50.00 or so. I think that knife was often referred to as a Black Diamond, if it has black covers rather than woodgrain.

Do you happen to have any vintage Remingtons. I could use a few more.
