Pauls Brothers Cutlery

Lil' help guys . . . Anyone know anything about Pauls Brothers Cutlery? Likely an old German firm. What's the quality of their knives? Any value?

According to Goins, Paul Bros operated from 1887 to 1905 as an importer. They also had an office in Solingen, so I assume they made their own cutlery.
I have no idea as to quality as I have never seen one of their knives. Post a photo if you have one.

Got the little knife out of the shallow end of the Bay for $1.25 plus shipping.
What impressed me was the fullness of the blades.
The handle condition of the knife is quite poor. Don't remember seeing handles exactly made like this before. The handle material is inset into the bolster/frame. The shield is also part of the bolster/frame as well as the 2 pins on either end of the handle material.
3 blades are stamped PAULS BROS over CUTLERY and the main pen is stamped PAULS BROS over GERMANY.
All blades have tremendous walk and talk plus half stops.
The closed length is about 3 1/8".
I wasn't able to dig up any information on the maker. The above posts were very helpful. I see the brand listed in several old reference books but not much info other than 1887-92, also says New York and Germany. Ray mentions Goins says through 1905.

All the blades have this swedge with a long pull back to the tang.

There is a possibility that this little knife could be 136 years old. $1.25 ain't bad for a knife over 100 years old.
If the fake tortoise shell was completely removed it would look just like the knife posted by member ibele-finley, above.
Some sort of replacement material would make this a great little "Sunday-go-to-meetin'" knife.
As I mentioned, this thing has some serious walk and talk!
