Mary Petro Commemorative...

I'd forgotten I had this. I was down in the dungeon, the other day and happened to uncover it.
All of you Case collectors know the name, Mary Petro. She worked for Case for an amazing 70 year(1924-1994). Don't you know she had some stories to tell. Just think about some of the cutlery history that she saw and held in her hands. WOW!
This knife was made to honor her. I think she deserved it.
Made in 1994. 1,000 made. This one is serial numbered 0497, in the circleC script, on the bolster.Special gold shield. Handles are called "Mary Petro green bone".
The certificate was signed by her and the paper in the lid of the box is also signed, above the "24" in 1924.
I've seen very few of these sell and the ones I have seen, did not include the certificate or the sleeve for the box. I guess the prior owners of them wanted to keep Mrs. Petro's autograph.
