Case Help
I got this Case in 1980 or so as a present.I carried it for twenty years before retiring it.Good knife.Tang says CaseXX U.S.A. and 3 dots.Other side is marked 21051 LSSP.Any information would be appreciated.Thanks Arnold

Hey there Arnold,
I believe that should be a 1977 Slick Black Composition (2)...single blade (1)...pattern #051... Lockblade (L)...with stainless blade and polished edge (SSP).
Some more information is available near the top of the page under the RESEARCH heading.

Toby the information I got on this knife came from AAPK Research Center you really should check it out if you haven't already 
The knife is a 4" Lock-back of course made from the late 70's to early 90's L stands for Lock-back, SSP stands for- blades and springs will be stainless steel and will have polished blade edges Hope this helps you out see ya around

In 1976 Case introduced the 051 series as their line of smaller lockback knives. They were actually made on contract by Alcas, as was the P197 Shark's Tooth.
The first models were the 21051LSSP (smooth black handle), 61051LSSP (jigged pakkawood handle) and M1051LSSP (monel? handle).
Some of these models were in production until maybe the mid 90's.

Well according to the news and the traffic in B.R. we have about 25,000 new residents here 
Including the other 4 parishes around B.R. they estimate 40,000 total so we are getting crowded 
Damage was minimal compared to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, New Orleans, and Lake Charles areas 
Things are better with most everything now it takes time to adjust to new environments and people Hope and pray that everything is going good for you in Waveland, Miss. Take care tobyrodgers
