Blades with Swedge Cuts
There has been several threads on here for posting picts. of things like different shields, certain handle materials, and such so I thought I would put one on here for some thing I like to see on a knife, swedge cuts on knife blades. I love swedge cuts on knife blades. It makes me think that the knife maker not only wanted to make & sale a good quality product but they wanted that product to look good to boot. It took extra time to put swedge cuts on the older knife blades and that extra time was costing the cutlery company money because it caused another step in the process of production. To me the swedge cuts on a knife blade gives the knife a classy look. I know that I will buy a knife with swedge cut blades before I would a knife with just a flat grind and regular nail nick. If you have any knives with a blade or blades having swedge cuts on them, post them here. Knives with swedge cuts and long pulls get extra points. Any brand, pattern, length, age, and ect. will fit in this thread. It's unlimited so post what you have and let us see them. I'm anxious to see some picts. of the blades that you guys (and girls) have. Thanks.

Re: Blades with Swedge Cuts
Here are some swedges on a rather unusual two blade Stockman (also rightly called a double-end Jack).
The spey blade has "drawn" swedges, and the clip has "cut" swedges.

Man, these babies are coming out of the wood work! Ain't seen a ugly one yet. Lets see now, let me add this up (counting on fingers and toes)...OK, SKW +1, J.P. DAVE +2 more, TRAIL + 3, RUSTY +3, Fran I had to use my fingers and toes to figure your total up, Fran +5. Gentlemen every one of them so far have been great. There's plenty of knives posted here that have lots of class
The people that built these blades knew how to make a knife come to life. The blades show that the makers loved what they did and wanted the world to see they were more than just knife assemblers, they were artist, making art. Keep them coming, I love every one of them.
