Folks,

That is a newer version of an Older Marbles Trout Knife.
I try to own knives I would use and this ain't one of them as far as 'Use' goes.
It is made to hang off of your little finger. They are most likely made in China, seems like I saw some in SMKW for $14.99 last time I was in there.

The Older's are collectible, meaning $. I would own one of those just cause I like eatin' fresh trout. Made in the USA of course.

I use a regular old Finnish knife you can find at Wally World for about 14.99, only I found mine beside a creek nearby. I have had it for years

The one you linked to was made by David Shirley & The Custom Shoppe in Okemos, MI. They made six 'antique reproductions' for Marbles in 2003. These retailed for $112.00 then.
Still, I rather have the real thing.

Do you know if Marbles is actually making knives anymore?
I remember wt3l telling me he got a Marbles folder that was etched CHINA. They had islands at SMKW full of their sheath knives, but when I seen origin I really did not look anymore.

I don't think Dave is having any Marbles done in the U.S. But I'm not 100% on that.
Here is mine, but it's not quite right for trout.

All the newer Marbles knives I have seen have been made in China...But the quality has not been bad at all and they come as sharp as anything I have ever bought before...

Of course anybody who makes this has to be ok...

I just ordered three of them..

I might mention that I had a stag marbles made in Germany also. A pretty good quality knife but definitely not too old.

Jim Parker once had some Marbles branded knives made...maybe in Japan and Germany?
