G. Whitfield Richards, old knife

I have an old two blade knife with the name G. Whitfield Richards, Phila. on the handle. I can't find info on this company. Does anyone know anything about this company?

That marking does not show up in any of the cutlery books I own. Doing a search shows that a company by that name owns real estate (at least parking lots) in Philly. The knife sounds like an "Advertising" knife. Are there markings on the blade? If any, what do they say, exactly, line by line. Tons of advertising type knives have been made over time by companies like Colonial or Novelty.

Thanks Bill, The large blade of the knife has the name Schrade and below that is Cut Co. The small blade has Schrade, and below that is Cut Co. and below that is Whalden N. I guess this would be a knife make by Schrade for G. Whitfield Richards. Does anyone have an idea how old the knife would be?

Post the stamping EXACTLY as it reads on the tang of the blades....as that is the biggest clue to narrowing down the age a bit.
Example....

SCHRADE
CUT. CO.
WALDEN, NY

Also, what are the scales made of (plastic, celluloid, bone)? What is the length of the knife, closed?

I can ballpark it to probably between WW1 and 1946. Others there are better with all things Schrade.
