Accounting for the 2006 Ivory Casien Knives

Post by Bryan »

I think I know where 6 of them are and I could take a good guess about one or two others. How's about everyone fess up and show 'em off if ya got 'em???

Was this the most limited run GEC knife of 2006?

I was under the impression that they were, but I was unaware of some 2006 stamped laser engraved knives that were made for the company's affiliates/associates. Anyone know how many of those were made?

I will try to take a good photo this week-end out side.

Do you think all 11 will show up here?

I think not.

Well, I have a Casein - 1 of 11 and it is the most limited run of 2006.

What I think might be more rare is 2006 knives that do not have serial numbers since 250 were numbered. I have 5 different 2006 knives without serial numbers.

GEC, I have the Sheffield Tobacco and the Green Tea 73's without serial numbers.
Tidioute, I have the Bacote Wood 73 without a serial number and the Chocolate Bone 23 without a serial number but I think that none of the 2006 Chocolate Bone had serial numbers.
Northfield, I have the 73 Burnt Stag without a serial number.

I think that 2006 had only 1200 or 1300 knives made. Serial numbers went up to 250 and anything over 250 at that time would not have a serial number. If you go to the GEC website and look at the 2006 totals, a lot of tang stamps are only 1 over 250, a few over 250, or do not even add up to 250.

No pictures yet.

Whoops  I just checked my spreadsheet and the 2006 Tidioute Chocolate Bone (19 pieces) had serial numbers, I also have one without a serial number.

I think there were 25 of the laser inscribed bone handled knives and I believe there were an equal number in 2006 of snakewood handles also. I think j5109 has those numbers. ::tu:: ::tu::
