Remington bolsters

Post by 268bull »

Okay, so I'm stumped! I bought a Remington beater to learn knife repair skills on. It has a broken spring to one of the blades, but I find no pins through the bolsters to remove to access spring removal. Are the bolsters possibly pressed into the liners? Anyone who may have encountered this problem and could enlighten me on the removal, their input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! ::shrug:: Dale

Dale has a great walk through detailing how to split a knife apart in our tutorial section. I use the same methods myself. Just be careful :)
