Buck Jack knife before the 110 stamp?

Hoyt Buck produced the first Buck Knife in 1902. Hoyt and his son Al moved to San Diego and set up shop as H.H. Buck & Son in 1947. Buck Jack knife before the 110 stamp?

Post by sharalds »

I tried, but not hard enough to get this Buck off E-bay. Looked real enough for me to bid. Does it look like a early Buck110 (before the 110 stamp) to anybody else?

It looked good to me, but I am not an expert on 110s.
Maybe Joe will be along & can comment on it for us.

I looked at the auction and would guess that it is a Second Version, Variation 1 or 2. It has the horizontal stamp but it is on the left hand side. First Versions are on the right.
I am guessing that the rear "spacer" is made of bone hard fiber, aka gasket material.
It sure looks to be in good condition!

Thanks Joe, My first real folding knife was a buck from the sixties, and would like a first version. Your info will help in that hunt.
