Need small auto or assisted under $100
I am looking for a quality "gentlemen's" auto or assisted opening that is preferrably under 2.5 ounces and 3" to 4" closed. This would be an EDC and I am in an office environment unfortunately so size is an issue. Thanks in advance.

Have you considered any of the Hubertus knives? They are of very good quality and not too scary for office type folks. I've carried one or another for many years.

I would check out the Kershaw Scallion series knives. They are great knives at a decent cost and are not menacing looking. Here is a picture of the "Jeep" model which I sell a lot of at trade shows.
Let me know if you are interested. I can let you have one at a great price.
You might also consider the Excutive Edge Pen Knife which I have carried for many years and never have had any trouble with co-workers. It holds a great edge and is very handy around offices.

I got a Buck Rush for Christmas that is a nice little assisted opener. It has a pocket clip, but if you'd prefer not to have the clip showing, it's small enough to slide on down into your pocket totally. You can pick one up at Wal Mart for about $45.
As Justold52 said, SOG makes some EXCELLENT assisted openers. I carry a SOG Mini Vulcan constantly. It is not a spring assisted opener, but has a little tab you can press as you flick your wrist and it opens faster than the eye can see. It's about $100, but might be a bit large for your taste at about 4 inches closed.
Kershaw also has some very nice assisted openers as leotheknife has already stated.
The good news is it's OK to get more than one.
The worst thing about those assisted openers is it's so hard to stop playing with em.

I have a barely used Kershaw assisted opening Baby Boa. 2-3/4" closed. Nice sheeple friendly knife, but with lots of cutting power.

There plenty of knives that meet your criterion in the AAPK stores.
Have fun choosing.
