Problem with Ebay seller

Anyone ever had this problem with an eBay seller? I won these 2 auctions; agreed to pay on the 18th (3days); seller said no problem. Today I look and they are re-listed; with bids. The seller also sold 2 Case pearls to 2 other bidders and they are re-listed also. Something is wrong with this picture; my guess that the price wasn't right. Messaged seller but no reply; don't know where to go ahead and pay with pay-pal or not? eBay complaints take forever; but don't want to get a mark for non-payment.

I'd use the ask seller a question feature before paying. He may have more than one , or relisted by mistake. when he replies , save the reply in case of a dispute.

Smalll world. I was an early bidder on the barlow myself.
If you told them you'd pay within three days, by all means go ahead and do so. Pay with Pay Pal and request insurance and delivery confirmation on your shipment. That should cover you in case the seller is running some kind of scam and would later claim he sent your knife.

I had a deal recently where I "won" a knife and paid right away. The seller never sent it to me nor did they ever respond to my repeated attempts to contact them. Pay pal refunded my payment entirely after I filed a complaint.

Keep a record of all your communication, or attempted communication with the seller, just in case there is a problem. If you don't go ahead and make payment as you agreed to do, then the seller does have grounds for cancelling the transaction, and you don't want that if you can avoid it.

I'd go ahead and pay, but be sure to use paypal.

If you click on his ' other items listed ' it says 5 knives, but his description says 10 knives. It looks like he had more than one of each.

ebay will have a record of all of this, so if you don't get the item, you will get your money back, and he'll get spanked.

Thanks guys, they had 2 negatives in the last six months; one never got the item. They started out with 10 knives; some with bone handles; all 10 sold and the 2 that I won and the pearls were re-listed. Fran does paying with paypal with a debit card give the same protection? Thanks.

barlow ain't stag. case don't give value estimates. very shady. use paypal only and a credit card if possible.

I agree with Philco and Sauconian. I snipped an auction and won way under value. I payed by check and did all my communications through eRip's system.
When they did not reply, I filled a NPS (Non Preforming Seller) complain with eJaws and negged him. He got suppended from etalltaleBay then begged me to remove feedback. I would have, but the clown never sent the original items I won.

When you use PayPal, try and do it through your Credit Card account and do not pay it off until you get the correct items you won.

You gotta run these types outta town.

Luckypaul, I sent the seller a question about the photo, asked if the knife is same as previous completed auction or different. I'll let you know what the reply is.

OK, got a quick reply:

"Q: Hi, The handle on this one is a little darker. But they are the same knife."

I believe he means it's the same model ? It does seem kind of weird that he'd have a couple of each knife that was listed. I don't know what to make of it. I'd probably do like the others said and pay through Paypal, by credit card if possible, and see what happens. Feedback doesn't seem that bad considering the volume being done, but who knows?

9Ball, you are in the corner pocket. He sent me a message; that it was the same photo; but a different knife. Said that he had 2 or 3 of each knife; paid for and according to USPS on their way. A pretty good price on 2 10dots; now if they are in mint condition that will be great.
