Anyone Recognize This Stamp?

Post by dcgm4 »

Hey. I just got this knife off of eBay. Does anyone know who made it? I can't find anything in my knife books. It is stamped with an either an "L" or an "I" and an "F." The letters are separated by a crown and what I think may be a pair of scissors or shears, but I don't really know. ::shrug::

Interesting.... I've not seen the stamp before. There was an L & F cutlery Co in NewJersey circa post WWI. I don't know if that is it though. ::shrug:: s-k

I actually bought it hoping that it was made by L & F Cutlery Co. If it was then it would be a very rare knife. The seller told me that they could not get a clear pictue of the stamp, but bidding stayed low enough for me to chance it.
The pictorial stamps have me puzzled, so I'm hoping someone out there knows who used this stamp. Thanks for your help, s-k.
