Re: Ulster Bone ??????
Chris,
I'm learning how much I don't know, but I don't recall ever seeing jigged celluloid. I've seen plenty of jigged bone, delrin , plastic, and even wood, but no celluloid that I am aware of. I thought celluloid was typically smooth on the surface. The color variation on the scale sure makes it look like bone to me. But hey, what do I know?

I would guess synthetic......if it is bone, it sure looks well worn for the condition of the blades and bolsters which look pretty good.
Like Johnie said it's beautiful either way.

That's actually peachseed bone, used pretty much exclusively on Schrade-Walden and Cut.Co. knives. I've never seen it on an Ulster before, but since the companies were married in the forties you never know
