Heating process

Hey Everyone,
I'am new to this fourm and I have a question. First I,ll start by saying thanks for allowing me to be a member of your fourm. I'am new to knife making and the type of knives I would like to make are the hunting type by stock removal. I need to know the heating process from start to finish ready to polish and sharpen. I read some books but no one really gives a straight answer. I have done woodwork for many years so I think I have all the tools I need. If anyone is interested in helping me please e-mail me the answer([email protected]) by the way I don't know anyone who makes knives
