I bought this really nice old, three pound plus, door stop this weekend.
It was painted at some point but I like it as it is. Very nice detail that doesn't show up in the picture.

Joe, that is a very nicely detailed piece; a good acquisition. Is it made out of wood or brass or.......?

We took a ride down in the woods to check out the wild blue berries, they aren't ripe yet but a bearing on the left front of the old woods cart got "ripe"!
I've learned to keep spare wheel bearings on hand for this cart as it goes through a lot of water at times. Got it replaced and made a run to make sure all was well and passed by the bee man's 56 hives down by Bee Branch. I believe these pictures fit the category of Miscellaneous Stuff and Things.

TF, I like your cinder block stool. I use one of these 5 gallon "Dove Hunting" buckets from Academy that I keep in the shop. It is cheap, light, has a padded swivel seat on it, and a handle to carry it around: https://www.academy.com/p/evans-sports- ... dland-camotreefarmer wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2024 6:33 pm We took a ride down in the woods to check out the wild blue berries, they aren't ripe yet but a bearing on the left front of the old woods cart got "ripe"!![]()

Thanks for the comments, fellers.
Unk, the 8X8X16 was a better height than the little step stool beside the cart. My old knees need all the help they can get. There is a dove shootin' stool hanging in the shop.
Chris, that is a Handyman, Hi-Lift jack. Miss Joy bought it for my 21st birthday from Central Florida Livestock Market in Orlando. Next birthday I'll be 78, we've done a lot over the years!
gdogg, bees are an amazing creation, love to have them on our place. The bee man (apiarist) pays rent with jars of honey.

Cool!
I've always said that if money was no object for me, I'd be a "Dial-a-down Dude" in the NFL. Always front and center on the line of scrimmage, telling people to move so you can get into position for a better view...
Take care and God bless,
