Thanks KJ, it came much darker, but after sanding it down a little, it brought out the yellow underneath.

Thanks Tony!
The flint knife was made by a Native American craftsman in Utah. While I have made flint arrowheads and knives when teaching wilderness survival to Boy Scouts and young hunters, my knapping skills are not as refined as that.

His name is Trey but he has several nicknames like Muffin Head and The Canine Muscle Missile. 80 lbs of faithful pooch. He's a great dog! Sorry there's no knife in the pic....I'll work on that.Quick Steel wrote:Fine photo and interesting knife, but I really enjoyed your dog's description.Sasquach wrote:Muffin Head the mighty hunter

Charlie, that dog looks like a muscle missile all right, handsome fella too.
Mike, I can see why that yellow rose jack is a favorite of yours, looks like the perfect pocket carry. Nicely done pic too by the way.
Tony, great picture man.

Thanks Greg. Don't tell him that he's handsome though....his head is big enough already!
He thinks he's a lap dog so my recliner gets a little crowded sometimes.

Re: Knife Photography
Very nice stuff, Roofsc. I have never seen so many Case Mops in one photo.
Sunknife - just a few days ago I was looking at the frost on fallen leaves in my yard and thinking what a fine background it would make for a knife photo.
Tony, that is a very well composed photo with the bird band, knife, shot shell and bird. Just seeing that makes me feel like going hunting.
Mike - that GEC on the frost is a very cool photo. Seems like spotting a GEC that has actually been used enough to have a patina is unusual. Great photo and knife!

Thanks Mel, somehow I must have hit a enhanced feature button on the phones camera and it gave the frost a blue tone.

Great ones Roof, Sunknife, Mike that has love and history on it, is that the one you carried for a year straight, or someone else? Really like yellow with deep patina like that. Beautiful shots all. Here's another one. Bushwhacking. Northwoods was on me in tow.
