Tagayasan wood on this Shun Kanso Santoku.

I'd never heard of Tagayasan wood before; here's what Google AI says about it:

Tagayasan wood, also known as wenge or Senna siamea, is a durable, dark-grained wood prized for its strength and beauty. I like the knurled ring and wood on that one.
The brass ring is definitely nicer than on an opinel. I don't know alot about the brand, I received this one in a trade, but I believe their baseline options have more common wood types like beech and oak.
