Good morning. I'm heading over with Jason to help him put some of the deck together that we tore apart yesterday. The cancer doctor is supposed to be calling Jane very soon to have her come in for tests and hopefully surgery soon before her cancer has time to grow and spread. If you didn't see my post in the prayer room, we found out yesterday that she has cancer in her mouth under her tongue. When they call I'll bring her to Duluth where we are hoping they can treat her. Her doctor told her that sometimes they send patients down to Mayo or the Twin Cities which are hours away so we are hoping that doesn't happen and that they can treat her locally. Things in life sure can scramble up everything in a heart beat. The sun is shinning bright outside but rain is supposed to be coming in for much of the rest of the week. Take care and have a good Wednesday.____Dave

I’m tired, it was exactly 1 AM when I walked in the house from the drive home from the concert.

Dave, sending prayers for Jane, if her doctor recommends Mayo, please don’t hesitate. Unless she has a Medicare Avantage plan, Mayo does not accept most of those.

Good Morning to all. Dave, my prayers have begun and will continue.

Looked out my office window yesterday evening and saw a large skunk family waddling slowly by. Initially it was difficult to count how many because even as they moved they all stayed huddled together. Finally counted two adults and four pups, all moving as one bunched up black and white ball.
Only a few brief separations. Poor photos but all I could manage. I'd put these photos in the Outdoorsman thread but I don't think my side yard counts.

Mornin' Y'all

Nothin' new or titillating here in Dixie. Chance of thunderstorms this afternoon, mid 80's.
Need to work on the edge of the recent knife find so it can work the night shift this weekend.
Wife let the cat out of the bag last night ... she has hinted at a "surprise Father's Day trip" she has planned
for next weekend, but wouldn't tell me what or where. Seems we're going to a beach, but I still don't
know anymore details. I suspect PCB again ..... ::suspense::

Pot is ready, let's get this pre-Friday started !
Chris
i woke last night to the sound of thunder
how far off i sat and wondered
started humming a song from nineteen sixty two
aint it funny how the night moves

Good Mornin', Diners.
Garry, that's a pile of skunks! I reckon they should be referred to as a litter, maybe. ::shrug:: We hardly ever see or smell a skunk around here anymore. In fact, a couple of years ago, the game commission was asking folks to report sightings, both dead or alive and location. It's amazing how populations of different wildlife are impacted by different issues.
Just turned on the news and they are reporting on a plane crash in India. :(
Workday is starting with 73°. Probably going to vacuum and wash Miss Joy's Ford Flex this morning. Having to drive on a clay road makes keeping a car looking good a real chore.
Yesterday we got everything mowed except the south yard. A sprinkle or two yesterday, next town north had 1.5 inches. Summer showers popping up in the afternoons.
Coffee is about to be served, y'all have a blessed Thursday!

Good morning. Thank you all for the prayers and concern. No word yet from the cancer specialist. Jane will call her DR. today to see when we should hear from the Duluth people. We got our latest deck project all torn apart and about half of the new joists laid. It's supposed to start raining this afternoon so we need to get some decking in place for the people to use the cabin this weekend. Jason can do that by himself if I need to leave so that's not a problem. It's kind of a gloomy day out there this morning.A neighbor friend is going in for triple by-pass tomorrow. He lost his wife a couple years ago and his only son last year and the heart stint they put in not long ago plugged. When life throws you a curve ball, it sure doesn't take much to see someone with way more on their plate that I have ever had. Jane and I have sure been blessed over the years. It didn't seem that way when she was going through her open heart surgery after about 6 or 7 other medical issues, but God carried us through all that, and when I look out at the beautiful lush green woods surrounding our peaceful rural home, a yard full of birds coming and going from the feeders, a painted turtle laying her eggs up near the driveway and the array of wildlife taking a shortcut through our lawn, and not another house in sight, I do realize I'm sitting on a place 99% of the world can only dream of. Next month Jane and I will have been together for 56 years and have so many grand kids and great grand kids that we lose count sometimes, and every one is healthy and thriving. Life is good. Take care. ____Dave

Top O’ The Morning everyone. Another fine weather day ahead, may wet a line this afternoon after I visit a friend recuperating from shoulder surgery. Life without a schedule is grand, I wouldn’t change a single thing! Now if I could just find that brass Challenge Cutlery Scout scene knife all would be aligned with the moon and sun ::facepalm::

Morning folks, 62 the low heading up to the upper 80's again today, clouding up this afternoon, showers starting tomorrow.
Wampus was walking towards the bosses barn when I finally roused up and got to the kitchen window. To say the least he was ready for breakfast.
ZT is the big plan for the day may put some roundup on the driveway and under and around the deck. Yard work this time of the year never quits just glad I can still manage a lot of it.
Little gal Dr. at the VA thinks I'm doing great for my age, and as I look around there yestiddy I'm thinking I ain't got it so bad.
Hoping and praying for Miss Jane's complete recovery. 🙏
We visited with our good friend Babara who is fighting cancer for a couple of hours yestiddy afternoon while her husband went to his Dr.'s appointment. She's lost a lot of weight.
They are getting ready for a birthday party for her mother's 100th birthday this weekend.
OK you gardeners what kind of critters did this?
