Gorgeous line up!! ::tu::

Madmarco, thanks for the kind words about my Old Timers, Jeff does first class work! I recently picked up a rig more your speed. Loved my Crooked River mini so much I decided I had to have the full sized version! I refer to it as my pirate sword.

Congratulations John, that's a cool little knife. You usually see these with a spear-point blade so the sheepsfoot is quite refreshing. Since it's a GEC, do you still have both arms and legs? ::shrug:: LOL! 8)

Thanks, Mark, and barely. It was less than $200 delivered, and comes in at a formidable 4 1/4". Excellent snap, fit and finish. Plus the dye is amazing.
That price actually doesn't sound so bad considering what some GEC's are going for. Is the 4 1/4" open or closed? ::shrug:: Thx! 8)

Closed length, Mark. 😉
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

I was joking about people trading in their Taiwanese tacticals for a Strider. 🤭

I've always admired those Crooked River knives Willie, the BIG model of course, but their high price...not so much. I have only ever seen one in the online pictures, I've never actually handled one, but from the pictures they've always appeared to be big solid hefty folders, and wow, I was right, it does look like something a pirate would carry! I can say that with confidence too bud, being as I have 2 wall-flags of A Skull n' Crossbones and a Jolly Roger n' Crossed Cutlasses hanging on the walls of my "Man Cave"! LOL! It's huge beside the Buck in your picture. That's a perfect name you chose. The way the knife curves up around the center reminds me of a Henckels folder I have that has a very similar look. I would ordinarily post a picture of the Henckels but I recently cleaned all the dust off my knives and the pouches they're displayed in, and the amount of dust made me decide to keep the pouches zippered up closed until I can get a better means of displaying the knives. It was a lotta work, and it was gross ta boot, so, unfortunately whereas before I could simply glance over to my knives walk over and get the one I wanted, it's now a big deal to go through each of 7 pouches til I find the one I want to post, but as soon as I can get something setup I'll post pictures again when I need help to express my narratives. Nice new Benchmade Willie, and congrats on completing the big/small set, I'm a huge fan of sets! P.S.-I'm sorry I just typed a letter up there, I'm pumped-up for some reason? ::tease:: ::shrug:: ! 8)

Mahalo, David. :)

Not sure how it is for the rest of youse, but the way things are going for me way out here in the middle of the Pacific (inflation, gas prices, pestilence, war, drought, famine, four horsemen of the apocalypse, etc., etc.), it looks like my wonton & reckless knife collecting days are seriously numbered. Hopefully things will return to some semblance of normalcy someday (preferably while I'm still alive), but until then I'm pretty much at the end of the road as far as new acquisitions are concerned.

With that in mind, I threw all caution to the wind and made a few final purchases so at least I can go out in a blaze of heavy-metal glory.

This is one of those "final" purchases: A 2014 GEC #47 Cyclops Steel Works Viper in American Elk (more pics in appropriate threads)

You did good!!! That is a beautiful knife. I know what you mean, with the higher prices and us trying to get settled in this new house I'm not doing much in the way of knives except enjoying the ones I already have.

Could use some Case expert eyes on this one. Looks like a 2001 Tang Stamp to me. ::hmm:: If I am seeing it correctly, then I finally finished my "Case Family Collection". Which would be very cool. ::nod:: ::groove::

Mini Cooperhead - (plain white bone I guess) slightly used - no box

That's it for the month. Budget overspent. ::doh::

Tom, that jigged white bone Mini Copperhead 62109W was my very first Wharncliffe and the knife responsible for my subsequent addiction to Wharncliffe blades. I remember distinctly that I paid exactly $40 for it NIB way back in the days when knives were more affordable (has it really been 20+ years? ) My how time flies when you're having fun, buying knives without having to choose between a new knife or filling up the tank. Thanks for the pleasant trip down memory lane. It's a great little knife. Nice score. ::tu::

This one cost me €45 shipped. It's slightly used & without a box. So yes, prices have gone up. ::nod:: Not really a "deal" but I needed a 2001 knife to get my "Case Family Collection" completed & it's been a long haul. ::doh:: I have been trying to get this little 5 knife collection together for a couple of years now I guess. ::hmm:: So I'm very happy I finally got it put together. ::nod:: :D I'll look for the old thread that I started about my "Family Collection" & post pictures of the completed set when this one arrives. ::tu:: It's a motley crew to say the least.

As usual you post another beautiful knife ~Q~. This is a nice one with your favorite blade and a fine choice should it be your final purchase. But I wouldn't count myself out just yet though. I've been watching the up and down fluctuation of knife prices, and lately I'm seeing some prices that are totally unrealistic that only the most foolish of the fools would pay. It seems that prices have peaked and simply can't go any higher, so I think when the knives sit on the shelf for long enough the sellers will be forced to apply more reasonable prices in order to sell them. There's one store in particular at AAPK that I watch the prices on, and the seller is constantly changing them to lower if the knife sits for more than a week, sometimes less. So when prices are high I think some sellers are just fishing and would likely settle for less, and this is where you need to be an excellent angler! Of course I may be totally wrong, but it just seems to me prices cannot go any higher and the current prices will come down sooner than we think due to slack sales. 8)

I hear what you are saying Marco, but I purchased from my distributor a order June 29th a order of some automatic knives, the Boker’s I order (I checked to put more on next order) as of July 1 went up 5%… so the next ones I purchase can’t be bought for the same money that I just bought them for. So as you guessed it the price that I have to sell them will go up after these. But the new Benchmade has not price jumped yet, but I’m sure soon.
