This morning I fixed my little cheap window fan I've had for 10 years. One of the fans got to the point where it didn't want to spin. Took it apart & gave each end of both armature shafts a couple of drops of Quick Release. Should get another ten years out of it.

rangerbluedog,
Here's the 1942 MB we had in 1966. My wife surprised me, buying it for me for $125!
I had 2 other jeeps before we were married, a 1952 Willys pickup and a 1957 Willys Station wagon. On my 1st trip home after boot camp, Parris Island and Infantry training, Camp Geiger at Camp Lejeune, 1964, I found my dad had traded the wagon for a 1959 Peugeot for me to drive to school when I got off active duty. :(
I'll see if I can find pictures of those old Jeeps to post.

Edit: It was too hot to work outside so I decided to hunt a few more Jeep pictures to post. I've always driven Ford pickups but for many years there was some type of Jeep in the background. Some how I got the scaned pictures out of order  .
My 1st Jeep truck, a '52 model-- high school years. One of the Buzz boys got in the way.

Got this wagon my Sr. year Pop traded it for a Peugeot when I was on active duty. Then came the '42.

Before this one there was a light green Jeep Wagoneer, couldn't locate a pic of it. This one has a 289 Ford engine with 9.00X16 military tread.

This one was also a Wagoneer model but was identical to the Cherokee the next year. Literally wore that one out. It started out as our family car.

It's been too long since I was there. I only have snapshot memories of a couple of places I ate.

Here's a list of the best 15 places for stew in Albuquerque. I couldn't tell you if you can get the KW up close to any of them. Ask around. I'm sure the natives will have an opinion.

I am the favorite son in-law for a day. My mother in-law found this small eastern black neck garter snake in her house today and I captured it in a box and then turned it loose outside far away from her house. It makes up for the time I spilled coffee on her white ottoman. The coffee spill was a prank.

Don't feel bad. I just thought they had reversed the image of Alabama until Mississippi was mentioned.

Well, they are kind of mirror images...

I'm guessing that shirt was created by IMG , Auburn's spotswear agency headquartered in New York City. Is it any wonder.

Actually, they could probably sell a million of those Auburn/Mississippi shirts.
