Went on a gun appraisal/gun buy and as usual I picked up a very good amount of guns but also one gun safe had few blades in it… most never carried but also never taken care of either… ended up with some dandy knife from this purchase… 36 total 15 case xx from early 70s to mid 80s … only 6 are Asian made and a boker German and a old German fixed hunting knife…but I’m very happy with gun buy and knife buy….4 or 5 buck knives 3 or 4 schrade knives

It's tight and snappy with a half-stop, and the run-up between the blade & back spring is about as perfect a fit as I have ever seen---the line where they meet is all but invisible to the naked eye and barely perceptible with a fingernail. For such a tiny little fella, this is truly an exceptional knife. I was really surprised to see signs for an estate sale with the recent weather, but I will take what comes my way. To my surprise two Stag Case knives and a Gerstner chest followed me home, all for less than a 'C' note. The dental chest (a model 41) is unusual as the drawers have metal bottoms (sanitary reasons I guess). It is one of the cheaper, if not the cheapest chest, Gerstner made being made for traveling dentists and dental students. I am more excited about the dental chest than the knives. Here are pictures:
Super score! ::super_happy:: I can see why your excited about the dental chest. ::nod:: That thing is very neat! ::nod:: ::super_happy:: Great looking knives too though! ::tu:: :D

Got in a new Case Cheetah swing guard. The handles are chestnut bone with diamond gold etch or jigging, not really sure which it is.

Congrats, wow, that looks even better than the sellers pics. Nice the run up is that seamless. Like that, sign of a good craftsman. Beautiful ivory too. Congrats and more, great score, happy for you.

I picked up this nice Western 62 folding hunter with original sheath. I haven’t had a 62 in awhile. They just feel right in the hand.

Sweet looking Hunter Jeff, are you gonna work your magic on it and dress it in some new duds? Hope so. Good score, congrats.
