Thanks, my friend. My father bought it new around 1980, I believe. It's Colt's MK IV / Series '70 Government Model. .45 ACP, of course. I prefer revolvers, which I always shoot single action, but I'm impressed by the reliability & longevity of the 1911 & the number of clones it inspired. I think John Browning was a genius not just for it but for his Winchester repeaters, gas-operated machine gun, auto-loading shotguns, auto-loading sporting rifles & 128 gun patents.

Well, BDs are the largest concentration of a brand. Before retirement S&Ms were the largest part; now dispersed. The knife pictured was the very first knife I ever purchased.

hey guys,

been carryin this one for a few days, forgot i had it, just happened upon it looking for another knife! aint used it yet...... i would like to know more about it though? those horn handles are the best ones i own. i know that the stag congresses i see from this brand bring premium but have premium stag. this is the only splitback whittler ive ran across, so what yall think?
