That neck knife looks like a prison shank, do you know of it's history? On second thought, maybe it's better you didn't!

Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

I can subscribe to that line of thinking. I just need more knives. My very small collection contains all knives my father and grandfathers carried and a couple of mine that I want to make sure stay around for my sons. I've been looking just haven't found the winner yet.Steve Warden wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 11:35 amI've heard it said, "Life's too short to carry an ugly knife."thankgod4rkids wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 1:29 amI can't bring myself to take a chance on losing or damaging my best or oldest. So......the dreaded China Buck is in my pocket every day. I'm far from proud of the fit and finish but it holds an edge and gets the job done. What knife or knives does everyone carry? Share a photo or two.
Here are my EDC's. These will be with me every day!

Case xx 6249 -1978 Copperhead Black Bone

Bill, they're just tools. You can't take them with you.
Don't deny yourself the simple joys in life by carrying a "dreaded" knife or one you're "far from proud of."
Carry something that will make you smile every time you reach down and take it from your pocket.
If you lose it, if you damage it, oh well. Get another.
Please disregard all of the above if your knives are worth thousands of dollars and are part of your retirement plan![]()

I agree Philip. I've taken quite a liking to the 49. It has the big Q tang stamp. One of these days I hope to find one with real Winterbottom bone.treefarmer wrote: ↑Mon Mar 16, 2020 8:43 pm The #49 is a wonderful knife in my book! What tang stamp does yours have, David?

David, my avatar shows two #49s, both are Winterbottom, one an EDC, the other almost mint. Both are ‘58-‘60 stamp.

Steve, I like the looks of the Cattle King & the GTO. Isn’t it a 1968? I think it’s pretty realistic... wheels, black vinyl top. I might be interested in a gold 1969 that looks that good.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Thanks.
I do like the forest green on this, more so than the Carnival Red (correct - red, even though it sure looks orange to me!) and pin striping that was the Judge.
I'm not overly impressed with the Cattle King. The way the blades are set makes it difficult to get to the nail nick on the clip blade. I either have to press down or pull up the pen to get access to the clip. Even so, it's one I'll drop in my pocket every once in a while.
Take care and God bless,
Steve
