GREAT PICS!!! I especially like the colorized ones. If l recall there was an extra charge for that and not all machines were capable of doing it. I know professional photographerrs charged for it and it was done with an airbrush.
Awhile back l acquired a picture handled Thornton that someone had lifted the handles slightly and inserted their own photo booth pics under. I removed them but saved the pics. Here they are along with the knife. Assuming it was done in the 1950's, the subjects are likely my age now.

Wow, thanks for sharing the knife and the images--so glad that you saved them! They are so much a part of the history of that knife. Regarding the color images, yes, if you look closely you can tell that it's not color film--they have been hand-tinted. I may be wrong, but it's my understanding that in the early decades of photo booths, many had attendants. You could pay extra to have the pics hand-colored by an artist and then mailed to you.
