Re: Trapper collecting?
Guess you simply must own a 6207 if you are going to collect Case Trappers - this Old Red bone was too pretty to leave in the display case at the hardware store this morning.

Re: Trapper collecting?
There are some really nice trappers here. Just picked up my first trapper. Really havent been into trappers, but the more I learn about them I can see why they are one of the most collected patterns.

I think Case trappers are hard to beat if you like trappers. I've learned they are like the proverbial potato chip. Unlikely you will be able to stop at just one. Your trapper gets you off to a very nice start.

Here's a couple of mine. First is a Zippo/CASE Visitor's Center from 1994, I think, commemorating the opening of the center. Handles are pewter.
Second is a 3-eye German Eye (can't spell Schlepper?)

Got this one too. Still trying to figure out why some have the beast etch and others don't.

These were the most accessible to me. Others another day. The scales of the last trapper on the right are made from a steer's horn.

It looks like I need to use a toothbrush and soap on the handle. That is rare pure original factory gunk on the scale -

Given its rarity perhaps the gunk should be preserved.
Seriously that is an interesting trapper. I haven't seen that shield before. Thanks for sharing it.
