I just picked up my first Hartkopf Solingen. Don't know the length of it but it does look like it has Ebony handles. If so, then these are another first for me. Maybe one of you can say if it appears to be Ebony? It's used but it seems to be in pretty good condition & the price was right.![]()
I'm going to EDC this one so I'm consideringhaving "TOM" engraved in the "shield" that's on the side. What do you guys think of me doing that?
Maybe one of my kids would like that after I'm gone.
Cool idea? Or a Mistake?

There were no pictures of the whole knife on one picture. Here are the best pictures the seller posted. More pictures in a week or so when it shows up. Thanks for looking!

I've got a Schrade/Craftsman with a small brass engraving panel (even smaller than that on yours) I recently bought; and since it really isn't much of a collectible, I am having my name or initials (of course, given they are "CBS"; look for me to lose it; and then someone sell it as an advertising knife) engraved on that panel when I go to my jeweler to get some work done on a couple of my watches.
So do I. Congrats!
Nope .... despite your general outward demeanor, your actions betray you
I bet that one would clean up really nice if you put some elbow grease into it.New_Windsor_NY wrote: ↑Wed Apr 29, 2020 12:31 am A few moments ago, this worn, but still with alot of character, Geo Schrade, single blade, wire jack pocket knife, joined my collection. When it arrives, it is definitely going to receive a cleaning. I'll take some pictures and post them in the appropriate location(s).
Thank you Tom.TPK wrote: ↑Wed Apr 29, 2020 7:05 amI bet that one would clean up really nice if you put some elbow grease into it.New_Windsor_NY wrote: ↑Wed Apr 29, 2020 12:31 am A few moments ago, this worn, but still with alot of character, Geo Schrade, single blade, wire jack pocket knife, joined my collection. Some before & after pics would be nice.
Nice find by the way!

As you can see, it took them a while to find Rockford on the map.

Floyd, when it comes to pocket knives, especially Camillus, Schrade, Ulster, etc., nothing would surprise me.
...how many "72's" have you got in your collection?????...........New_Windsor_NY wrote: ↑Thu Apr 30, 2020 8:59 pmFloyd, when it comes to pocket knives, especially Camillus, Schrade, Ulster, etc., nothing would surprise me.![]()
Tommy, I don't know if you were asking me or asking Floyd. If you were asking me, I have 19, Camillus 72 pocket knives. I have 65, Camillus 72 variation/clone pocket knives, including the one in the mail.carrmillus wrote: ↑Thu Apr 30, 2020 9:36 pm...how many "72's" have you got in your collection?????...........New_Windsor_NY wrote: ↑Thu Apr 30, 2020 8:59 pmFloyd, when it comes to pocket knives, especially Camillus, Schrade, Ulster, etc., nothing would surprise me.![]()
