They say you are never very far from a spider. They are everywhere, some are big and some are not so big. I noticed this little feller while I was sittin' in the yard yesterday afternoon. Double click on the picture and he will show up. Excuse the old hairy leg, but it does show how tiny the spider is. He would swing from hair to hair with a web so fine you couldn't see it.
313Mike had posted a picture of a spider earlier in this section that had spooked his wife and daughter, maybe this one wouldn't bother them too bad :) .

Holy Cow Treefarmer! How the heck did you ever notice that tiny little fella? You must have some pretty darn good eyes...or was he tickling the trees in that forest of leg hair?

Treefarmer's post on spiders caused me to put these pictures up. spiders have always been a fascination for me;I even use a spider graphic in my signature when I sign a piece of my artwork.
This series of pictures was caught just outside the the door to my shop one morning. As I was going in the door I noticed this little ball hanging in mid air next to me.It was about the size of a nickel in diameter and was moving slightly in the breeze. Upon looking closer I noticed that it was a newly hatched group of garden spiders(the large black and yellow ones that were once so common). As I watched a slight breeze came up and as it hit the group they started to scatter. In a few moments they all came back together.I watched them for a few minutes and then went inside.
Coming out a bit later I noticed that they had migrated to the side of the garage and were now spread out.
As I was coming back to the shop a sudden rain shower came upon us and when I got to the shop door all the spiders were gone;washed away by the rain.
Thankfully I was able to capture them on film.

I think spiders are pretty cool, but admittedly I give them space. They're all poisonous, right.

Been meaning to take a couple of pics of the 7 legged spider(s) that call our shower home.

Could post it in the 'show your pets' thread, too ::hmm::
