Keen Kutter Knife Ephemera.

Keen Kutter was first used as a knife brand by Simmons Hardware Company in 1870. The trademark was used on the highest quality tools and cutlery Simmons offered.

Here are three that I have had for a while. Posted before in other forums, but not this one. The one on the right is the oldest.

The latest KEEN KUTTER memorabilia to join my collection. They are E. C. SIMMONS, KEEN KUTTER pencil toppers. They measure 1 3/4" long and the "buttons" are 7/8" in diameter. Three of the four still have Whitehead - Hoag Newark NJ maker information printed around the bottom edges of the "buttons." They are all in VERY GOOD condition. No cleaning was necessary. I took some pictures and here they are.

These belong to a friend of mine. Box is 5.5" X 10" and appears to be made of Oak.

Impressive KK locks and box. New one on this end ,have never seen a box with 2 locks in it like that . Would he have the keys ?

The box would of originally had tableware in it not locks.

Right you are. After reading the fine print inside the lid of the box, it refers to knives and silverware. It says that if the silver is stripped from one dozen, the weight will prove to be 16 DWTS.
