Just reading along here tonight and realized there is an old Pal Blade Company (scout/camper) with a punch blade on it here in a pile I'm looking through:

The blade not opened is a cap lifter with screwdriver tip.

I think this Pritzlaff Hardware is pretty unusual for a harness jack, coke bottle stabber jack, unusual grind to the spear main. Nice size 3 3/4". very nice wood, think cocobolo, very faint etch that I can't make out. No idea who made it.

Excellent looking HJ John ::tu:: ::tu:: ... That's a good size spear with a punch too... Is the punch style any clue as to maker?

Thank you all for the nice comments ::tu:: ::tu:: ::tu::

Roger, thanks for the etch pics, looking close that looks to be what is on the knife but too far gone to be sure.

Lee, the punch style can definitely be a clue as to maker, I've been looking at pictures for another example, so far no luck. Some punches would have patent numbers on them which will identify the maker but this one does not. On another forum someone thought it is an early Ulster, pre Dwight Divine.

Thanks John, I've had both of these for over 20 years, got them both at the old 2 day show in Waterbury Conn. Bill Clausen of NW Knives used to come to the show with some amazing knives and he helped get me started on the etched knives with ink. He still produces a color catalog of vintage knives that are really nice!
