There's nothing else I can say about this knife that's not already been said. It's simply stunning John. ::nod::

Another Sheepsfoot arrived today, 3 7/8" Valley Forge, style of bone makes me think late 1800's early 1900's.

Thanks guys, with the curved frame and type of bone I'm thinking early 1900's, maybe even late 1800's.

Gorgeous knife JohnR, what can I say, you have the museums covered. Fabulous.
Not quite so beautiful or pristine, but an old Schrade Cut Co I really like. Great thread all.

Ivoryman, very nice Schrade Cut ::tu:: it has that 2nd style jigged bone which I call divot jigged bone. It came after the pick bone but before the peachseed jigged bone. Some say that divot jigged bone was done on the George Schrade jigging machine.

Thank you very much for all the nice comments, guys. I appreciate it. ::tu:: ::tu::

It really is a dandy little knife. 3 1/4" closed. Both tangs stamped.

I have never sharpened it but I think I will soon and carry it for a day or two. ::nod::
