Looks like the old Klein Tools hawk I recently acquired in a junk box.

being Klein, probably not. I haven't cleaned it up enough to be sure.

Made a little progress with that lucky guess.
This brand could be from America, Germany, Sheffield, etc…. But this one looks American to me. Great hard snap, hard half stops.

Sorry Bill, Ridgegrass already killed this one with his A Field answer.
But I’m not aware if A Field had any of their own manufacturing plant. If anyone has an idea of who might have made it, I like to hear.
Thanks

Good hint, and a lucky long shot.
American, jobbed, looking for the tang stamp. Extra credit for the maker. J.O'.

Can't say for sure who made the A. Field, but Levine says "Progress" was the agency of George Korn for Joseph Rodgers & Son, so your knife is likely English made. It's a beauty. J.O.

Goins says that the Progress line of A Fields was American made. Of my farmers jacks one was Schatt and Morgan made and the other Camillus made . The shield on yours is typically Camillus.

Pretty knife John, but I'm drawing a blank. I get a lot of those lately.

I’m not feeling confident about this guess. But it kind of looks like a Robeson frame so I’ll guess Terrier.

Not sure of the maker. I'm thinking someone besides Robeson. Anyway, not Terrier. It's a store. J.O'.
