This brand could be from America, Germany, Sheffield, etc…. But this one looks American to me. Great hard snap, hard half stops.

Can't say for sure who made the A. Field, but Levine says "Progress" was the agency of George Korn for Joseph Rodgers & Son, so your knife is likely English made. It's a beauty. J.O.

Goins says that the Progress line of A Fields was American made. Of my farmers jacks one was Schatt and Morgan made and the other Camillus made . The shield on yours is typically Camillus.
