What is Your Latest Old Camillus? (pre-1960)

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

There are not many,but they are out there.The topic knife was in a factory collection,so it likely was well cared for.I have bought a few 80-100 year old knives off EBay and wondered it they just laid in some old guys sock draw for ever.

gsmith... I am planning on making the Dalton show..if nothing happens. Looking forward to meeting you... And as I said I will bring it with me and you can look it over...As Roger said there are still some real nice pieces that have survived thru the years,,,,,and that's what keeps guy's like us to keep on looking...... when we find them just preserve them ,, romance um for a while,,, and pass them on for others to enjoy... Rough start, huh buddy? I just found this post. It’s not often you see a knife this good.

Glad you finally started posting. You’ll build your reputation quickly on here,don’t worry. Beautiful handles and that guy you got it from had a lot of the Nilo Miori collection, as Roger said.

Looks like some of the Sword Brand etch remains on the blade. ::tu::

Tnorton that's a great old Harness jack you have posted. It looks to have the same punch as the one WVblade trade posted on the previous page. ::tu::

Roger did you see the one last week on Ebay, etched and marked Star Feed Co.? I bid $450 on it and just got blown out of the water. It went for $650.
