Tom, you need to become acquainted with the FREE snipping tool "GIXEN". See something you want? It can be anything from just listed to a couple of hours from auction end. Set GIXEN and forget it. A few seconds before the auction ends, GIXEN will enter the bid you decided on as your max. Find it here https://www.gixen.com/main/home_2.php
Thanks Jerry! ::tu:: ::super_happy:: ::handshake::

Nice! I have a bit newer example called the Pocket Pal with advertising for an automotive paints company; and a variation for Rodania watches that features a watch case opening tool in place of the pen blade.

Those with Elinox tang stamps tend to sell for more than those that are marked Victorinox. $22 was a pretty good deal given it has no wear.

The Elinox stamp was used up until the mid 70's. Some say 74 while others say 78. But I imagine you knew that already. ::nod:: I wouldn't mind having one with the watch case opening tool. Could be handy. ::tu:: :D

I believe I got it for a good price because the seller just called it "VICTORINOX". No mention of Elinox or Alox. So if you used Victorinox Elinox or just Elinox as search words to filter out the thousands of non aluminium Victorinox knives, then it didn't show up. Good for me. ::super_happy::

After getting sniped on a Camco barlow this week,
I upped my game and managed to win this beautiful 93ot.
I guess these are not real common, since there were only 6 listed on all of ebay !

Just picked this one off eBay. Can’t seem to find it on the web. I have always liked sodbuster style and this just struck a chord with me. Anyone know if it’s a legit KIssing Crane?

Not everyone's cup of tea but I'm hooked on Ole' Glory. The Red, White & Blue grabs me every time. Besides, I got it for a song and feel like I sang it myself.

Seller's picture of course.

Left Sugar Land TX yesterday evening. USPS says delivery on Monday but I've noticed they usually give themselves a one day cushion so it could be as early as Saturday. ::fc::

Plain-edge sheepsfoot (NOT cleaver) blades are so hard to find in one-hand opening--most are aimed at first responders, and are serrated. Not to mention quite expensive.

Smith's Edgework "Wharncliffe" folder.

I admit, this was an impulse buy. The MSRP is almost $30. That wasn't worth it in my mind, given most of Smith's knife line looked poorly made, and secondly, the steel is just listed as "400-Series". Amazon had it on sale for $12.

There's a part-serrated hawkbill I really like as well, but I'm hoping for the price to fall. $30 is too much for a low-end knife in a low-end steel. I can get $15 Southwire knives from Lowe's that are 8Cr13MOV.

I just got it in--it's excessively heavy for the size and type of folder (5.7 ounces!). It also likes to open up when dropped on the ground. I think a Cold Steel Tuff Lite or Mini Tufflite would likely be better; are built better, and would suit your uses better. Or even better, the Case 07 Mini Trapper with a Wharncliffe blade.

Since it seems with many manufacturers, modern slipjoint designs are the "in" thing; I wish Cold Steel would make a slip joint version--it would then be legal where you are, and more suited to my personal tastes.

I had all of the trapper versions of it, and they all look good, the red looks awesome and the Buffalo horn is impressive …but straight from the tube a slight scratches on the red one etched blade…but still the knives seem solid…
