Help With The Tang Stamps on this Pig/Toad Sticker (aka "folding bowie")
I know this is a long shot, but I'm interested in this folding knife (currently for sale on the bay) variously known as a "pig sticker", "toad sticker", "folding bowie", and probably a few other names, and want to make sure it isn't just a piece of junk. I just got my copy of Carter's book: German Knife and Sword Makers, and in the back I happened on a section on Turkish markings (last picture below). I think I see some similarities, but I'm probably just reaching a bit too far. Any ideas or info would be appreciated!

I don't know a thing about the knife Herb, other than it's most refreshing from the usual Hubertus or Marbles models we always see! If you do end up getting it, I have swinguards from knives I've removed them from so if you don't have one or can't find any I'll gladly drop one in an envelope and send it to you, just let me know!
