checked some books. found a "very best", a mark used by binghampton cutlery co. new york, 1888-1894. not "veribest" but close. is it an old knife?

It is a old knife and it is veribest one word. We could not find it in any of the usual books.

Goins has a Veribest SHP listed with no further information, no dates, nothing.
