Russian? Eastern European?

Post by edge213 »

The tang stamps look like a sickle and hammer BT.
Any help would be appreciated.

On your top knife David the bottle-opener end makes me lean towards Russian as I've seen lots of other Russian models with that exact shaped opener, as well as the fact the Russians love to put bottle-openers on their knives. As for the bottom knife I have no idea, other then the tang stamp of hammer and sickle screams Russian again to me. Nice knives you have there! 8)

Both are Bulgarian. Produced in the Sickle and Hammer factory in Veliko Tarnovo (BT), 70s or 80s of the 20th century.
The price is stamped under the logo - 2,85 лв, 4,15 лв.
