The small "baby" Cognet Douk-Douk.

At 3.5" closed, it's a more reasonable EDC than the regular model. For most jobs, a 3.5" closed knife gets it done. I will soon be adding the full-sized model.

No lock, but the backsprings are strong and it has a half-stop also.

I've been on a mission to find inexpensive current-production (sub $30) working knives that aren't made in China. While many of the brands I buy are somewhat obscure, they are decent for the money. . Honestly, my favorites are the Douk Douk and Mercator. Better steel, better workmanship than some of the obscure Spanish, Italian, and Czech brands I've been buying. Not to mention, there are several American dealers with most of the offerings from both.

I've been home for a couple weeks with diabetes related problems but, I've been keeping this lg Feldspar handy for chores around the house.
When I first got this knife and gave the thumb stud a flick it jumped open so fast I thought it was an assisted opener. Nope, it's just a very well made knife.
