JOWIKA REPUBLIC IRELAND MULTIBLADE KNIFE

This is a cheaply made but serviceable knife. The design was strengthened by washers under the blade pivot pins holding the knife together.

The scales are plastic stag horn. The ends of the side plates are recessed to take tags when part of a knife with pressed metal scales. Different Jowika knives having had some common parts.

Sadly this one has been misused. The corkscrew and awl have been broken off. Being cheaply made it was probably a youngsters pocket money knife, the tin opener also bent. It has had use!

For my collection the interest is the little bird trademark on the tang with the maker's name. The knife was probably aimed at Scouts and campers.
