2022 Henry Sears knife

Does anyone have any idea what color this is called? I'm trying to ID it and find out how old it is. Thanks!

That is called Christmas Tree celluloid. Goins’ Encyclopedia says Henry Sears & Son 1865 was a stamp used 1897-1959. It was used by Farwell-Ozman-Kirk which was a hardware firm in St. Paul, MN. Someone here may know from other markings on the knife how to narrow it down more than that. (I can’t read the tang stamps as your pictures are out of focus on the stamps.)

I can't say what year, but my guess would be 1930's to 1950's. My personal opinion is that stainless wasn't in wide use before the 30s and was really a little more common from 1945 on. An expert here may have a better guess.

The elephant in the room here and to answer a question you didn't ask is that this celluloid tends to be unstable. Prone to gassing out. You might want to keep and eye on it and store it apart from other knives.

The "S" on the shield means that the knife has stainless blades. This type of Chistmas tree celluloid wasn't used much on US production knives past the 1930's.
