Does anyone have info about this Ranger Iran hostage knife

I got this from my dad back in the early 80's. Does anyone know what year they were made, how much they are worth and how many were made?

I can't tell you a thing about your knife except to say I like it and think you have a neat little historical item there. I would think the knife was most likely put out during 1981 when the release of the Iran hostages was still a hot topic, but that's just speculating on my part.

This looks like a Colonial Ranger. Check out the link below and you will find lots of pictures of their knives over the years including the Ranger series. Nice knife, similar to the Camillus Tobacco stockmen that are still available on ebay.
