Just checked SMKW and they have a new RRR coming out.
It's a Barlow pattern. ::tu::

I love Barlow's but I'm not sure I like their blade choice. I would have preferred a clip blade. I will most likely get one because I have a large selection of RR's in my collection.

I would have preferred a clip blade also, but at least they make it an easy open.

Rough Ryder is now offering knives with Staglon handles.
I thought Staglon was a Schrade trademark? ::shrug::

Yep, that's about the ugliest knife I've ever seen.
I was checking SMKW and they have a bunch of new RRRs coming out and the prices are outrageous.

I agree that the swell center is not pretty. The blade on it and on the Barlow just do not seem to go with the body of the knives they are attached to.

Wow, those RRs are getting expensive.
Maybe should be posted in the "Crazy Asking Price" thread.

Did anyone notice anything different about the new Cinnamon Bone Stag Trapper? No "R" on the bolster. Is it possible they have heard the negative comments on that embellishment and are starting to pay attention? Nah, that's just wishful thinking.

I wish they would stop putting that stupid "R" on the bolster.
I've emailed them several times asking them to remove it.

I'll bet they did listen to all he complaints, otherwise you'd have to classify the missing "R" as a mistake in production, and that's highly unlikely! 8)

Do any of you know the closed length of the RRR clasp knife that Beavertail posted a picture of above? Assuming it was the size of a Case or Queen I was thinking I'd buy one until I saw SMKW does not have its dimensions on their web site. Comparing the size of its nail nick to the blade it looks a lot smaller than the U.S. standard 5 1/4" to 5 1/2".

SMKW has about a dozen new RRR knives on their web site but only two have pictures up. The rest we have to guess at their shape, size and style based only on their names and many RRR names do not mirror U.S. names.

I'm sure when these become available at SMKW they'll list the dimensions.
I'm looking forward to see the others too.

I received these 2 Rough Riders today after watching them for quite some time and finally finding them available! A RR1758 Southwestern pattern slip-joint Dr.'s knife, and a RR2326 "Toad-Sticker" slip-joint with Buckshot burl covers and needle-point blade! The boxes these come in must be almost as expensive as the knives featuring a magnetized open/close flap! 8)

I know I said I wasn't going to buy any more Pacific Rim knives, but I love Wharncliffe Swaybacks and VG-10 steel, so I just couldn't resist getting this one.

The latest Rough Rider Reserves are now in stock and shipping from SMKW.
Ordered mine today, Thursday March 17, 2022. Just made it in time for the 10% off discount with free FedEx shipping and free Irish Green SMKW Shop Mat.

Pictures and dimensions that some members have questioned on the Rough Ryder Reserve 014 D2 Original Clasper and the Rough Ryder Reserve 015 OD Green Micarta Hippo Toe are posted within the below pictures.

Smoky has also finally posted many new "In Stock" Rough Ryders today.....Bow Trappers, Baby Bee Flipper, Large G-10 Bumble Bee Linerlock, Barlows etc. etc.

And take a look at the RR1902 (Also pictured below) "Rough Ryder Miniature Cajun Bowie, Full Tang, featuring a mirror polished 440 stainless steel clip point blade with a color-washed smooth bone handle. " Unfortunately, Smokys web designers lost their measuring instruments. (Not the first time.)
I did however look on ALL my measuring devices and could not locate a "Miniature" measurement description. I think this Miniature Bowie would make a good desk letter opener?
Smoky also described this "Miniature" Cajun Bowie's best use as "Camping Hiking" knife."
Now....I do on occasion go Camping and Hiking, but I don't think I would ever strap on a "Miniature" Cajun Bowie knife.
That would be like driving my "Donut car" and carrying my "Dessert Warrior Kalashnikov" to a "Hells Angeles Reunion" and passing out "Smarties" candy to my fellow members. ::teary_eyes::

Footnote: I am not associated with, nor am I a member of any Motorcycle club. I do not have a full size Donut Car, I do not eat "Smarties" candy. However, I do have all three "Dessert Warrior Kalashnikov" knives.
