So, I'm still trying how to learn the ins and outs of working on these things. I picked up a cheap little Frost Cutlery with cracked plastic scales, and decided to change them. Now, it's not a bad little fingernail cleaner, letter opener. At least it's better to look at now...

Nice job! What kind of wood did you use?

Thanks Herb. It's a wood called Mora. I got it at a little place here in Atlanta called Woodcraft. They have all kinds of veneers and exotic woods.
It's very similar to Rosewood, but is very hard and dense. I had originally gotten it to replace a scale on an old Gerber Sportsman I have, and there
was enough leftover to do this knife.

Totally agree, Glenn. I hat throwing anything away that may still be useful either for me or someone else.
