Newest Case Pick-Ups

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

John that is a great looking wharncliff !!!
Today I was fortunate enough to stop by an estate sale and picked up two Case knives and a dental chest that I will use for knife storage. I am more excited about the dental chest than than the knives. It is different from all of my other storage chests in that the frame and drawer fronts, sides and backs are wood, while the bottom of each drawer is metal. I presume this is to help the sanitary aspect of storing dental tools. Here are the pictures :

Here is a new one that I picked up recently. Cheetah in chestnut bone diamond pattern on the handles. Don’t ask me how they managed to get this to look like this, to me it’s simply amazing. Case does some of the best work when it comes to bone handles with interesting jigging and coloration.

Good looking Cheetah, the pattern reminds me of a knitted blanket.

Beautiful knife John.
You must have one of the most impressive collections in the US.
Thank you David but I'm a rank amateur compared to some of the collectors on AAPK.

Picked up this single blade Zippo Trapper in curly maple. It doesn't have the typical Case pattern number, but it would be a 7154 if it did.

Wow John that stag whittler is drop dead gorgeous.

Love the wooden handles on that trapper.

Got in a few Copperheads. There are only 100 of each of these made. I like that the back cover is designed to look like the bottom of the snake. The green one is a python and the brown one is a rattler. I would love to know how Case makes handles look like this.
