Mystery German Knife?

So I am pretty sure this is a German manufactured knife, probably pre-wwii?
and possibly a F. HERDER A SN-SOLINGEN manufacturer?
It just has the markings D.R.G.M. and crossed keys on it. Blade has a mirror finish and minimal evidence of any use or sharpening that I can see.
Nothing else. Can anyone confirm its maker and perhaps its' date or era of manufacturing?

You are correct that it is a F. Herder knife. I am not sure if the handle and guard are original to it. Made when I don't know. Is the sheath marked in any way? It looks like it would fit the knife well. Maybe someone else has seen a similar Herder knife.

I believe it is a Herder blade that has been well cleaned and buffed and a handle and guard added by somebody other than the factory.

There are no markings on the sheath, I would say it is probably not a period sheath. it looks too new.

Yep the bottom one looks like a match to the keys. Do you think the absence of any words indicates a date range?
