So I hear, so I hear. So why don't they declare open season on them for all hunters, sportspeople, pork lovers etc. and let the people cull?

There is no season on them so they can be shot anytime. Just not enough shooters and usually there is no hunting inside most city limits. And almost all of Dallas and Tarrant County is inside some city's limit. Pig hunting here is big business.

A couple of hunting dogs and a big knife (like John's new ESEE) are all you need to handle the wild boar problem, Floyd...according to my Hawaiian pig-hunter friends, anyway. ::nod::

Very nice photos, Ivoryman. That peach seed jigging and the patina on the 15 really look good.

But what I especially like is that beach in the first photo: the beaches around here are just boring white sand.
